Atlantic City Gateway Redevelopment Initiative

The Atlantic City Gateway Project will significantly transform the Chelsea neighborhood of Atlantic City. The initiative involves the development of a portion of a long vacant, nine-acre site adjacent to the city’s boardwalk. The first phase of the project is the creation of a new Atlantic City campus for Stockton University and the construction of a new headquarters building for South Jersey Gas.

Once completed, the Atlantic City Gateway Project will activate a greatly underutilized area of the city. It will generate a daily influx of nearly 1,500 new people to the area supporting local retailers, restaurants and other businesses. This redevelopment project will also create greater opportunities for revitalization in the surrounding neighborhoods.
